It’s autumnal all-change at Merched Chwarel: Tomorrow is the last chance to come to one of our ‘Women’s Wall’ workshops, and Saturday is the last chance to see our Storiel exhibition (and time to pick up things you’ve put on the Groaning Dresser!). We are then off to make jewellry and hang about at The Good Life Experience, and opening two new exhibitions in Blaenau Ffestiniog, opening mid-September…. details of all this and more below (or see our events page)!

Women’s Wall Workshop - 4th September
Would you like to drill and stitch some slate? We have our session for THIS Thursday, at Storiel, 10.00-2.00. Book your place through emailing cyfuno@gwynedd.llyw.cymru child-care will be available! Here's your last chance to be a part of our Women's Wall before the launch of the permanent installation in Bethsda towards the end of the month.
Collect pieces from y Dresel Griddfan Groaning Dresser or they’ll go on to Blaenau!
Our dresser is now groaning ever more loudly with stuff! Huge DIOLCH yn fawr iawn i bawb. it’s well worth popping in over the next few days if you can to investigate all the things that have appeared on the Groaning Dresser (Saturday 7th September is our last day, after 5 months in the gallery!). Alternatively, have a look at the Dresser’s progress here
If you have brought something in, please feel free to take it back, or it will go on to the exhibition in Blaenau! Alternatively, message us, to arrange another time to collect it.

Merched Chwarel @ Good Life Experience, Hawarden, 14th September
We are going to be in the Pen Bar Lag tent/bar curated by Rhys Mwyn. Come and see us! We hope to be offering slate and washer bracelet and pendant making as well as just hanging about and being festivally. More details about the Festival here
Merched Chwarel @ Blaenau Ffestiniog
We are installing a new exhibition in the library in Blaenau and you are warmly invited to come to our exhibition opening on 18th September. 4.30 - 6.30…
We are then installing an exhibition at various locations around Llechwedd Slate Caverns, opening on the 25th September. You can get into Llechwedd and go and see our work for free: we’ll be in the old bank and in the old splitting sheds amongst other locations.
And finally…
Don’t forget our exhibition at Amgueddfa Lechi Llanberis Slate Museum - in Elidir Bach near the cafe, and in an exhibition case in the Quarry Hospital - on til January.
