Jane “Jennie’ Williams was a daughter and sister to Dinorwig Quarrymen in a musical, methodist family, a champion ‘nail hitter’ and WW1 nurse, who died in service in France. In this bilingual blog, Elin Tomos’ research pieces together a very personal story that brings to life the Merched Chwarel and their quarrying families of the early 20th Century.
